This guide will show you how to configure a new Mobile Data Anywhere installation to connect to your account. If you haven't installed the app on your mobile device yet, you can follow one of the guides below to get started:
Once you have installed the app on your device, the app will need to be configured to connect to your account. You can connect the device to your account in one of several ways. Click one of the links below to learn how to configure your device:
You can log-in with your account details that you originally set up your account with by pressing the USE AN EXISTING ACCOUNT button.
Enter your details and press the SIGN IN button.
You will be shown the device selection screen where you can press the Select button next to the device. This will configure your device with the Unit Id and the Device Password for your account.
You can also configure the settings manually by pressing the Manual Settings button at the top right and entering the Settings from the Device Settings tab in the Mobile Data Anywhere portal.
To begin, you will need to obtain a device's QR Code.
This can be done by
signing in
to your account on the Web Portal. Once logged in, open the
Device List
page.
Click on the name of the device that you wish to use.
This will take you to the Device's details page. On the right side of the page there will be a QR Code. You can follow the steps below to scan the QR Code directly off your computer's screen or alternatively you can send the QR Code to someone by printing the page. To setup a batch of devices you could print off the QR Codes for multiple devices and distribute them accordingly.
To start setting up a device using a QR Code, tap on the
Manual Settings
button at the top right of the registration page.
This will take you to the settings page. Tap on the
Setup Using QR Code
button to open the QR Scanner. If this button does not appear on your device then you will need to update
the Mobile Data Anywhere app which can be done from the App Store application on your device or by scrolling
down to the bottom of the settings page and clicking the
Install Updates
button.
Once the scanner has started, you can focus the device's camera on a Device QR Code. When the scanner has detected a QR Code it will make an audible sound and automatically configure the device's settings.
To set up a device manually tap on the
Manual Settings
button at the top right of the registration page.
This will take you to the settings page where you can manually configure the device's settings. These settings can be obtained by signing in to the Web Portal and opening a device's details page.
